Season 4 Preview Patch Notes
The following updates are only some of what is being released with Season 4. We have purposefully omitted various changes/updates because of how they might affect the current game. We will provide additional updates and more detailed information on some of the below-mentioned updates on or before October 31, 2025.
Coliseum Event
- The Coliseum Event has been added to the game! This event is designed for level 300 players, who will be randomly assigned to teams of 1-4 players. Each team must work together to defeat the opposing team.
- Players will have 10 minutes before each event to register by speaking with any Coliseum Registrar NPC located outside the Coliseum in East Ladianes.
- Players must register before each event to ensure active participation (rather than signing up and logging off).
- The registration system uses the same unique system as Nation War, meaning you can only register on one character at a time.
- Once registration closes, there will be a 2-minute preparation period, allowing players to finalize their equipment and potions.
- After this period, all online registered players will be automatically assigned to a team and teleported to their respective side of the Coliseum, where the battle will begin.
- Each battle lasts 15 minutes. Teams must defeat the opposing team within that time limit—otherwise, the match ends in a draw. During the event, players can expect the following:
- Player names, pets, and equipment are hidden, similar to Nation War.
- You cannot leave the event until it has concluded or you have been eliminated (killed).
- Once eliminated, you cannot re-enter, but if your team wins, you will still receive rewards.
- If you log out during the event, you have 60 seconds to reconnect. Failing to do so will remove you from the event and you will receive no rewards.
- The event is instanced, meaning you will only see players on your team or the opposing team.
- All players will receive Honor Badges as rewards, but the winning team will also receive Conquest Badges.
- The following restrictions will be in place:
- The event will only begin 7 days after Season 4 starts.
- For this season, it will only be available to season characters.
- Event times are as follows:
- 00:00 UTC
- 06:00 UTC
- 12:00 UTC
- 18:00 UTC
Delphiroth Changes
- Delphiroth Floors 1-6 boss EXP now scales with difficulty 5, bracket 1-6 instance bosses.
- Floor 1 Scaling: 50% or 75% of the equivilant instance boss exp.
- Floor 2-5 Scaling: 35% or 50% of the equivilant instance boss exp.
- Floor 6 Scaling: 15% or 30% of the equivilant instance boss exp.
- This equates to roughly a 25%-50% exp increase to each Delphiroth boss, depending on the boss.
- We've introduced two new questlines set in Delphiroth.
- These quests won't fully "fill" the levels between each floor, but they serve as guides and help with leveling within the dungeon.
- Descent of the Divine (12 parts)
- On each floor of Delphiroth, players unlock 2-3 quests based on their level.
- Each quest adds Delphiroth lore, explains the current floor, tells you what to hunt, and ultimately directs you to the next floor.
- Given the dungeon's difficulty, completing these quests awards substantial XP, scaled to each quest's difficulty.
- To start a quest part, you must complete the previous part first. For example, Part 12 unlocks only after you finish Part 11.
- Containing Delphiroth (5 parts)
- A set of daily, repeatable quests directly tied to Descent of the Divine quests.
- You unlock each part only after completing its related Descent of the Divine quest.
- Each floor starts one of the five parts, and access is level-gated by the floor's requirements:
- Part 1: Lv. 125-160
- Part 2: Lv. 160-200
- Part 3: Lv. 200-240
- Part 4: Lv. 240-275
- Part 5: Lv. 275-300
Duct Island Changes
- Duct has been converted into an event, and now opens randomly for 1 hour every 2 to 8 hours.
- While Duct is open, players can enter the appropriate Duct Island for their level to farm Turf Tokens and earn experience.
- PvP rules within the Duct follow each channel's specific settings (Fame Loss, No Fame Loss, or No PvP).
- Monster Adjustments for all Duct Islands:
- Spawn in packs of 5, similar to island monster groupings, and cannot be pulled around the island.
- Have matching health and defense to their Island/Turf counterparts.
- Deal 20% less damage and absolute damage compared to Island/Turf monsters.
- Reward players with Turf Tokens at a reduced rate and quantity compared to Island/Turf monsters.
- Grant experience equal to 4% of the Delphiroth boss associated with the player's level.
- This roughly means that 20-25 Duct kills are equivalent to 1 Delphiroth boss kill.
- Duct Orc General Boss Spawn Events
- Now spawn after 850 kills (previously 300).
- Their defense scales equally to Island/Turf monsters, while their HP and attack power scale to Delphiroth bosses.
- Guaranteed to reward the player who defeats them with Turf Tokens.
- Grant experience equivalent to 5 Delphiroth bosses.
Instance Changes
- We've made a significant number of changes to how instances function on the back end.
- These changes were made to allow the creation of instances with non-party members (primarily for the Coliseum Event).
- These updates shouldn't be noticeable during normal gameplay, but if you encounter any issues, please let us know.
Event System Changes
- We've developed a new Event System that allows events to run on both Season and Non-Season channels independently of one another.
- This means that events on non-season channels can start and end at different times than those on season channels.
- Previously, events on both channel types had to start and finish simultaneously, which often caused one group to wait for the other to complete before receiving event rewards.
- The following events have already been converted to the new system, and the rest will be updated over time:
- Coliseum Event
- Duct Event
- Turf Stop Event
Rune System
- Sacred Runes can now be found as rare drops from bosses in Catastropha Cavern and Delphiroth Floor 6.
- Sacred Runes can be upgraded up to level 100 using Sacred Ash, which can be purchased from any PvP Merchant in exchange for Conquest Badges.
- A failed upgrade will not destroy the rune, but the Sacred Ash used in the attempt will be consumed.
- Sacred Runes can be used on equipment to augment the item.
- When an item is augmented with a rune, it will inherit that rune's effect. The strength of the effect is locked to the rune's level at the time of augmentation.
- For example, if a Rune provides a 3% drop rate increase at level 100 but is only level 50 when used, the resulting item will only grant a 1.5% drop rate increase.
- Only one rune can be applied to an item at a time.
- Using a new rune on an already augmented item will replace and destroy the existing rune.
- The following restrictions will be in place:
- Sacred Runes may only be used on level 14 equipment.
- For this season, Sacred Runes may only be found by season characters.
- Initial Available Sacred Rune Stats
- Fortification: Increases the effectiveness of all stats on an item by up to 1%.
- Scavenger: Increases your drop rate by up to 3%.
