August 4 Patch Notes & Level Race Winner
This update includes a wide range of bug fixes, Quest Tracker improvements, and gameplay optimizations, along with continued PvE balance adjustments focused on creating more consistent kill times across all classes. We've also improved event scheduling, island behavior, and overall game performance to provide a smoother gameplay experience.
General Changes
- Updated and improved localization.
- Fixed an issue that allowed certain turf monsters to drop incorrect items (such as Wallstones).
- Fixed an issue where pet egg glow effects would remain visible until the game was restarted.
- Fixed an issue that prevented certain monster buffs and debuffs from attaching correctly, causing them to remain in place instead of following the monster and persist after the monster died.
- Fixed an issue where some buff visual effects remained active after the buff expired (this also resolves Stone Feet remaining visually active).
- Fixed an issue where certain quest objectives would not appear in the Quest Tracker.
- Players are now automatically removed from Islands and Turfs when they no longer meet the area's level requirements after a rotation.
- Player names and IDs are no longer displayed in the target frame while participating in match-based content.
- Fixed an issue that prevented the Duct timer from displaying correctly.
- The Reaper Event now only spawns on Channels 2 and 5.
- Registering for an event now automatically replaces any previous event registrations of the same type, including those made on other accounts.
- The Hau Event will no longer begin during Nation War. If Nation War is active, the event will instead be delayed by 5 minutes until it has ended.
- Fixed an issue that caused Hau to sometimes not give rewards if players from other level brackets were in the party.
- Fixed an issue with Catastropha Cavern that caused monsters to not receive any damage.
Quest Tracker
- The Quest Tracker now partially displays off-screen text when it is scrollable, making it clearer that additional objectives are available.
- Quest regions are now only displayed for objectives that have not yet been completed. Previously, all quest regions remained visible until every objective in the quest step was finished.
- The Quest Tracker now directs players to required NPCs when appropriate (such as for Garell's Map or quest turn-ins).
- Overlapping or nearby quest regions are now grouped together when they belong to the same quest step and objective, significantly reducing the FPS impact of the quest tracking system.
- Made several additional optimizations to improve the performance and efficiency of quest region rendering.
PvE Changes
- Tornado, Ghost Castle, & Catastropha Island Kill Times
- The Guardians on each Turf have been rebalanced to take approximately 2 minutes to defeat with average equipment, regardless of class.
- The Eggs, Iron Maidens, and Wallstones on these Turfs have had their defenses adjusted to take approximately 30 seconds to defeat with average equipment, regardless of class.
- Regular monsters on these islands have been rebalanced to take approximately 18 seconds to defeat with average equipment, regardless of class.
- If these adjustments perform well, similar balance changes will be rolled out to the remaining islands.
- The respawn time of Tornado Megalopas and Ghost Castle Ghosts has been reduced by 50% (10 seconds for Tornado Megalopas and 35 seconds for Ghost Castle Ghosts).
