Season 5 Release Date

Season Release Date/Time

Based on the results of our in-game poll, Season 5 will be starting on July 31, 2026. We will be restarting the servers at 9 AM ET, and we expect them to be offline for about 1-3 hours while we update everything for Season 5. If everything goes as planned, the servers and Season 5 will be online sometime around 10AM-12PM ET.

Season 5 Announcements

If you haven't been following our recent announcements, be sure to check out our previous news posts for more information about Season 5 and many of the changes we've already revealed.

The test server has been online for roughly 3 weeks now, and during that time we've worked with players on various changes and improvements for this coming season. If you haven't logged into the test server or our discord recently, be sure to join the conversation and help shape Season 5.

Stat Squish & Balance Changes

We've been working closely with the community to rebalance the game following the much-needed stat squish. While this has understandably been a complex process, we're making great progress.

  • All classes have received adjustments to their stat scaling and rewards.
  • Level 14 equipment is approaching a point where we're happy with its overall balance.
  • Equipment from Levels 1-13 is now being rebalanced based on Level 14, ensuring each tier scales naturally from the one above it.
  • There's still more work to be done, and we'd love your feedback. Give the latest changes a try and let us know what you think on our Discord: https://discord.com/channels/368579540546486273/1517221232288858282.

Pet Daycare

  • The new Pet Daycare system gives players a convenient way to continue training their pets, even when they aren't actively summoned. By placing an eligible pet into daycare, it will continue earning Pet EXP over time while you play with another pet or even while you're offline.
  • Daycare uses a new resource called Daycare Time, which is earned by actively participating in the game. Players gain daycare time by defeating eligible monsters and unique players. Up to 48 hours of daycare time can be stored at once. Each daycare session can last between 1 and 12 hours, and you must have at least the selected amount of available daycare time before a session can begin.
    • Players can earn 20 seconds of daycare time for killing monsters within their level range, or 10 minutes of daycare time for unique player kills.
  • Starting daycare costs 2,000,000 Leni per hour. Every pet placed into daycare receives a +25% Pet EXP bonus by default. Players can also enable Premium Boost for an additional +100% Pet EXP, increasing the total bonus to +125% Pet EXP. Premium Boost costs 1 Turf Cash per hour.
  • Only one pet can be placed into daycare at a time. To be eligible, a pet must be below Level 100 and cannot be Starved or Fainted. If a pet is removed before its selected daycare duration has finished, it will only receive the experience earned up to that point. Any remaining daycare time, Leni, and Turf Cash spent on the session are forfeited and are not refunded.
  • Once a daycare session has completed, a Daycare Cooldown begins before another session can be started. Players who don't want to wait can instantly reset the cooldown using Turf Cash. The reset cost is based on the remaining cooldown time at a rate of 10 Turf Cash per hour.

Pet Interface Improvements

  • The entire pet interface has received a major visual and functional facelift. The Pet Interface now has dedicated Pet Collection and Pet Daycare tabs, cleaner styled panels, updated buttons, improved scrollbars, and multiple live 3D pet model previews.
  • Pet models now display directly in the interface and only rotate on hover.
  • The Pet Collection page now tracks collection progress by pet type.
  • Pet Types can be sorted by alphabetical order or owned count, while Owned Pets can be sorted by level. These sort choices are saved and restored between sessions.
  • Owned pet cards now scroll horizontally, show EXP and hunger gauges, highlight the active pet with a unique style, and display special icons for fainted or starved pets.
  • The Mutate Pet and Pet Color Select interfaces were also restyled, matching the new Pet Collection and Daycare look.

Target Frames

We've introduced a brand-new Target Frame interface that provides quick access to important information about your current target without needing to inspect them. The Target Frame displays a variety of useful information when you left or right click an attackble target, including:

  • Character/Monster name, level, and class.
  • Current and maximum Health
  • Active buffs and debuffs

The interface is fully customizable, allowing you to choose exactly which information is displayed to better suit your playstyle. Players who prefer the classic experience can also disable the Target Frame entirely through the in-game Options menu

Experimental Engine Changes

The following changes are low-level engine improvements and are being released on an experimental basis. While they have undergone extensive testing, these systems affect many core areas of the game. If any critical or unrecoverable issues are discovered, we may need to revert one or more of these changes while we investigate. Potential issues that could arise include: players or monsters moving incorrectly, animation or movement speed inconsistencies, projectiles behaving unexpectedly, falling through the map, new or unusual client crashes. If you encounter any strange or unexpected behavior after this update, please report it so we can determine whether it is related to these engine changes.

  • FPS Limit
    • For many years, the game has been limited to approximately 43-45 FPS due to engine limitations. We've now introduced a series of engine level improvements that remove this restriction.
    • During internal testing, these changes resulted in average frame rates between 60-130 FPS, depending on your hardware and what was happening in-game.
  • Map Crashes & Performance Improvements
    • We've made several improvements to the engine's map loading system, resolving a number of long-standing map-related crashes and performance issues. The following changes have been made:
      • Several crash fixes introduced 2-3 years ago have been replaced with improved engine-level solutions. Under normal circumstances, players should not notice any difference, as these crashes were already being prevented. However, if any previously resolved crashes return, please report them so we can investigate.
      • Fixed multiple crashes that could occur when loading or reloading certain maps in specific sequences or under specific conditions, including areas around Ladianes Harbor.
      • Fixed an engine issue that caused a brief freeze when crossing map borders. The freeze would gradually become more noticeable after repeatedly entering and leaving dungeons, eventually lasting up to 2-5 seconds. As a temporary workaround, players were previously sent to the lobby and automatically had their character selected whenever they left a dungeon. Since the underlying issue has now been resolved, this automatic lobby process has been removed.
      • Fixed an engine-level crash that could occur when the client received multiple rapid loading requests, such as when minimizing and restoring the game window. Although this issue has always existed, it became significantly more common after the FPS limit was increased in the previous update.

Other Changes

  • Many other smaller changes/fixes have been added to the game and can be tracked on our discord's patch-notes channel.
  • We'll continue introducing additional changes as we get closer to the start of the season. Some updates may also remain unannounced until the day before Season 5 begins, so be sure to keep an eye on our news posts and announcements for the latest information.
