Sacred Runes can be applied to eligible equipment to give the item a special effect. Only one rune can be applied to an item at a time; using a new rune of a different type on an already augmented item will replace and destroy the existing rune. The strength of the effect depends on the rune's current level.

• For example, if a rune provides a 3% drop rate increase at level 100 but is only level 50 when used, the resulting item will only grant a 1.5% drop rate increase.

Only the following items can be augmented:

• Level 14+ Equipment
• Level 13+ Jewelry

 

Upgrading Sacred Runes

A Sacred Rune can be upgraded in three different ways:

1. Use Sacred Ash on the rune itself to increase its level.
2. Use Sacred Ash on an item that already has a rune to upgrade the rune directly on the equipment.
3. Apply another rune of the same type to an item that already has that rune, this will upgrade the existing rune on the item.

WARNING: Any item upgraded with runes or Sacred Ash will become locked, and can only be unlocked using a Trade Item Unlocker from the Turf Shop.

 

Item Name	Description	Appearence
Sacred Rune	A rune that contains a special ability that can be upgraded to level 100 and used to augment equipment with that ability.
Sacred Ash	Sacred Ash can be purchased for Conquest Badges from any Badge Merchant NPC, such as Fry in the Crystal Room.

 

Rune Abilities

Ability	Description
Fortification	Increases the effectiveness of all stats on an item by up to 10% for damage stats (PSA/PA/MSA/MA/Min Damage/Max Damage) and 5% for all other stats.
Scavenger	Increases your drop rate by up to 3% and resource rate by up to 1.5%.
